Enterprise computing is moving into an era of virtualization in the US and Europe, partly as a result of enterprises seeking ways to free-up their infrastructure for critical functions and partly because virtualization may help to reduce costs over the long-term.

Server virtualization enjoys widespread use, as a full 44% of enterprises in these markets have already implemented this technology and another 26% are in the process of implementing it today. Storage virtualization is beginning to gain a solid foothold in these markets, as 17% of companies have implemented it and another 60% are currently implementing or evaluating.
